Diary of a writing project. Day 94-95: After the magic storm

Christmas days !

Everything is done, either the things we like or the things we hate.

Now, it’s time for real Christmas cheers!

Celebrating, dancing, just chillin’ with friends and family. Or just you and your life partner snuggled up by the cozy fire, listening hard to hear the Christmas bells….

Ready, steady – but, oh no !

Mouwahahah! Think again, puny human writer, for I, the Quarrel Giant, have come to paaarty!

Quarrel Giant, Christmas days 2019

Oh dear.

No time to hide. No time to avoid it. No time to get an extra bottle of sparkling wine.

The disagreements between family members seemed to be endless, and the strategies to overcome the issues, vain.

It was a dreadful Christmas Eve, a terrible Christmas.
And a Day after Christmas nightmare, heavy rain and heavy words pouring down from everywhere.

If only, I thought from time to time, all those horribles moments and dreadful « conversations » were good enough to be used in a novel.

But not.

All of it was pretty much ridiculous stuff. Exemple, arguing about, euh, the amount of snow we had around here two years ago??

Sorry for the brain cramp.

It’s not gonna last long.

Promise.

I’ve been there.

After the magic storm…

What was left of me was a tiny little thing that just wanted to push the bad away, play with its kiddo and get back to the writing project.

I sooo need to write!

But no.

Because, see, the Quarrel Giant always leaves a mess behind.

A real, huge, scattered in many mini pieces heartbreaking mess to be pick up.

Slowly but surely, I’m getting closer and closer to be able to write again without losing my focus at writing a word or two.

Slowly but surely.
